Rumex Obtusifolius (broad leaved
dock – which is green in color)
A large leafed, common weed, usually
found by the wayside and wastelands. Both
yellow dock and the broad leaved dock
can be used.
Functions / Benefits
Alterative (corrects disordered bodily
functions), laxative, cooling.
Indications
Mild jaundice, chronic skin conditions,
chronic constipation, rheumatism, skin
infections (topical use).
Contraindications
None known.
Method & Dose
Decoction – use 12.5gm (0.5 oz)
root to 500ml (1 pint) of water. Consume
half cup, 3 times a day.
