Yarrow
A common weed found growing in grassy
places and lawns, with feathery leaves
and small pink or white flowers. The whole
plant is picked in full flower.
Functions / Benefits
Diaphoretic (induces sweating). Febrifugal
(reduces fever & temperature). Antispasmodic.
Anti-inflammatory. Styptic (stems blood
flow). Strengthens the peripheral circulation.
Indications
Fevers, colds, and flu. Can be used for
children’s fever, diarrhoea, and
stomach cramps. Stops bleeding and promotes
healing of wounds. Erratic and heavy periods.
Contraindications
Avoid large doses in pregnancy.
Method/dose
Ingestion: The tea may be taken freely
in acute conditions. To strengthen circulation,
take 3 cups daily.
