Alpha
Lipoic Acid (ALA)
A universal antioxidant for
energy production, blood sugar regulation
and the maintenance of a healthy neural
system. Also helps to reduce the complications
associated with diabetes (such as pain and
numbness).
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) and
its active metabolite, DiHydrolipoic Acid
(DHLA) have unique antioxidant properties.
Working together, Alpha Lipoic
Acid (ALA) and DiHydrolipoic Acid (DHLA)
can neutralize almost all types of free
radicals. Eg. Superoxide, hydroxyl, peroxyl,
and hypochlorus radicals.
DiHydrolipoic Acid (DHLA)
is able to recycle or spare other important
antioxidants such as Vitamin
C, Vitamin
E, and CoQ10 (Co-enzyme10).
This enables longer and greater antioxidant
protection.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) and
DiHydrolipoic Acid (DHLA) are able to scavenge
free radicals in both fat soluble and water
soluble environments. This enables antioxidant
protection in all areas of the body includingthe
brain and nerves which are fat-soluble areas.
